CAPS System Blackout Period - September 15, 2014 through End of October

August 14, 2014

The new automated capital planning system, CPATH (“Capital Planning at Harvard”) will be going live on October 27th. CPATH will be integrated with the CAPS automated system to initiate Project Proposals and with the G/L to pull spending. In an effort to ensure that this integration goes smoothly, the CAPS automated system will have a blackout period from September 15th through the end of October at which time users will have their responsibilities temporarily suspended.

Requests submitted to Central Administration (CADM) will need to be approved and any open requests or forms in draft will need to be submitted to CADM for approval or deleted by the blackout period start. CAPS will work with Schools/Units on clearing their open requests.

This early notice is being provided to avoid any issues with project approvals or funding.  However, if any requests require approval during the blackout period, they will be handled offline and the forms reflecting the request processed after the blackout period. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but will do our best to help you meet your capital project needs.

Please contact CAPS (CAPS@harvard.edu) with any questions.
