First Release of New Student Information System (SIS) Coming Soon!

September 18, 2014

The Harvard Student Information System (SIS), a strategic initiative launched in May 2013, is on track to achieve its first major milestone in just a few weeks. This cross-school program seeks to make it easy for students to enroll for courses and engage with advisors, enable faculty members to approve enrollment requests or enter grades, allow academic and residential advisors to access vital information about students, and enhance capabilities for administrators to manage courses, programs, and student records. However, our first step on this journey is to retire the legacy mainframe-based SIS+ “term bill” system that has been in place for 25 years. Go-live for this long-awaited system is scheduled for 11/24/14.

As we get closer to launch, we will be circulating more detailed information. In the meantime, please check out our website: www.sis.huit.harvard.edu.
