FY16-FY20 Capital Plan Submissions and New CPATH Reports

Capital plan submissions will be due using CPATH by end of day on Friday, February 13, 2015. Narratives and FCI submissions should be emailed to Garry Cuneo (garry_cuneo@harvard.edu) or Juliana Wong (juliana_wong@harvard.edu).

In addition to the reports released with go-live in November, the following new CPATH reports are now available: (Note: Not all reports are available to all CPATH roles.)

  • Capital Plan Comparison Report - Compares current capital plan to previously approved capital plan.
  • Capital Plan Financial Summary - Summarizes submitted capital plan and displays spending by year, renewal versus improvement versus growth by year, funding source by year, seeking approval by year, etc.
  • Capital Plan Top 20 Projects - Displays top 20 projects by funding source by year.
  • Philanthropy for Capital Report - Displays key project information for projects that trigger philanthropy for capital requirements, including those projects that are underway.
  • Large Projects by Approval Stage Report - Displays key information for projects over $15M, including approval process stage (feasibility / design / construction).
  • Projects by Major Trade Report - Organizes projects by major project category (Construction Specifications Institute - CSI).
  • Future Depreciation Report - Calculates the future depreciation at the project level for 11-year period (current + next 10). The calculations include depreciation life assumptions of 20 years for labs, 35 years for non-labs, and 7 years for MFE;  users should refer to the Fixed Asset System for any amounts placed in service.
  • Regulatory Compliance (Spending by Building) Report - Displays capital spending by year by root for purposes of MAAB compliance calculations; breakdown of capital dollars in renewal, improvement and growth.
  • Downside Scenario Report - Comparison of the submitted capital plan version to the downside scenario version. (Note: Submission and discussion of detailed project-specific downside decisions are not required for the FY16-FY20 capital plan submission.)
  • Data Downloads - All Data: Complete data dump of all projects information; Current Submitted Plan: Snapshot of the original plan submission for the current fiscal year; Prior Corporation Submitted Plan: Archived versions of the Corporation authorized plans.(Note: FY12, FY13 and FY14 plans will be migrated in the future.); Prior Monthly Forecast: Archived snapshots of selected monthly data points;  Prior School Submitted Plan: Archived versions of the original plan submissions, beginning with the FY16-FY20 capital plan submission.
