The next GMAS 2.0 Project release will occur on December 14, 2015, delivering a redesigned Segment home and more converted screens. Segment home is one of the most frequently visited GMAS screens that users leverage to access projects. The Segment Home still allows users to retrieve segment data, segment financial information, navigate between segments and navigate to key areas. The re-design brings additional information front and center including highlighting dates and dollars, segment actions, and links to existing GMAS screens. The re-design allows for easier navigation, provides fewer clicks to receive information and highlights upcoming and/or outstanding activities.
There are four main sections of data on the re-designed segment home: Navigation pane, Key Information, Dates and Dollars, and Work in Process. The new navigation pane provides links to existing GMAS screens such as action memos, requests, accounts and approvals. Key information surfaces important project attributes to the segment home, so users have an understanding of the risks/ complexities of the project. Dates and Dollars pulls in a summary of relevant financial information including awarded and pending dollars. The Work in Process section of the Segment Home provides pending and overdue segment to-do’s in one consolidated location.
Users will continue to navigate between old and new screen designs through the end of the project as we re-design and convert the remainder of the system.
