Modernization of Financial Reporting (MFR) Project Update

February 16, 2017

OBI Financials Pilot

With our most recent release in January we implemented, “single-segment security” allowing access to dashboards based on authorized TUB, ORG, FUND, ACTIVITY or ROOT.  This enhanced security is referred to as “Data Access Controls 1.0” (DAC 1.0) and has allowed us to expand the pilot participation to include departmental administrators in some of the schools and units.  These additional pilot users will continue to help us uncover any data issues and elevate local concerns in preparation for the full scale rollout in July 2017.

We are conducting Super User sessions in February and March for those recently added to the pilot audience.  If you are an OBI Financials Super User or a pilot user and would like to participate in the sessions please reach out to your Local Implementation Manager (LIM).  Refer to the Super User Community Home page for dates and registration information.

OBI Grants Management dashboards

In last month’s issue, we reported that there were two CREW Grants Management reports that had not yet been decommissioned.  We have officially decommissioned the Sponsored Invalid Code Combination CREW report and are working on a plan to decommission the GMAS User Security report.  The OBI Grants Management dashboards are available and will be the source for grants management reporting going forward.  There are additional OBI Grants Management dashboard training sessions that you can attend if you have not already.
