my.harvard Updates and Outage

April 14, 2016

Program Updates:

Last month, course data for all Wave 2 schools (GSD, HGSE, HKS, and Chan) were successfully converted into an administrative production space - a major milestone toward the release of the course catalog to students, faculty, staff, and the public in June 2016! The completion of this milestone means that administrators at all Wave 2 schools are now able to work behind the scenes in my.harvard to build next year’s course catalog.

Additionally, we have made great progress towards the July 2016 release of an enhanced student financial self-service experience. This release will include the ability to make payments directly in my.harvard, an improved billing view, and the ability to set up payment delegates. We also continue work on additional self–service features, such as student and faculty home pages, which will become available for Wave 2 schools later in the summer.

System Outage:

Next weekend, April 23-24, my.harvard will undergo mandatory system maintenance. The maintenance window is determined by the vendor who hosts our servers. Each maintenance period is quoted for 7pm Saturday - 7pm Sunday, though most times the system is available much sooner. See the full monthly outage schedule here

Both OBI and ODS will not refresh Sunday morning. However, reports will continue to be available with the data from Saturday morning’s refresh. Both processes will resume again on Monday morning at 4am and 6am respectively.
