PeopleSoft Release 41:  Enhancements and Outage Information

Due to HR Release 41.0, PeopleSoft and ASPIRE transmissions to PeopleSoft will be unavailable starting on Friday, May 29th  at 5:00pm until Monday, June 1st  at 8:00am. Clearing your cache on Monday morning is highly recommended due to the updates that will occur with this release.

New HR Audit Report: HR Data Audit Report (HU)

Path: Harvard Reports>HR Related>HR Data Audit Report (HU)

This report identifies discrepancies in valid job and compensation data combinations, based on an employee’s job code. The report can be restricted by Department and/or Paygroup, and will display all employees whose data is in error.

For example, an employee whose job code is in employee class A and is in an exempt position would error on the report if their compensation rate code was entered as NAHRLY.

Manager Self Service: New View Employee Information Page

Path: Manager Self Service>Job and Personal Information>View Employee Personal Information

Managers in several schools/units will have view-only access to the following information for their direct and indirect reports.

  • University Mailing Address
  • Email Address(es)
  • Employee Phone Number(s)
  • Emergency Contact Information

The employee can add or edit the emergency contact information, non-Harvard phone numbers, and University Mailing Address in Self-Service.

Note: Access to this page is made at the school/unit level and will occur on a gradual basis. This means that your school/unit may not see this page immediately after Release 41.

Temp Quick Hire Form: Salary Admin Plan Field Added

The Salary Admin Plan field will be located next to the Hourly Rate field in the Job Information section. This field will default to CT35, but can be updated to either CT37 or CT40.

All Quick Hire Forms: New Costing Distribution Error Message

This new error message will notify a user if the costing distribution for each listed earnings code does not equal 100%. This will allow the user to correct the distribution so that the transaction does not write to the database with inaccurate or blank costing information.

The new error message states, “All the distributions for a single earnings code must add up to 100%.”
