Administrative Reporting and Analytics (ARAP) Program Update

ARAP Program Workstreams Update

As reported in last month’s eNews, several program workstreams have been identified to facilitate the expanded ARAP scope.  Here is a high-level update as to where we are with each Workstream Category:

Platform Build Architecture & Infastructure, OAS Security Design & Data Modeling Platform Build
  • OAS Logistics and Physical model designs are drafted and under review
  • Working with consultants on our Security, Architecture and Deployment challenges, including looking into Federated Authorization model that can support multiple BI Applications, along with multiple Tenant Teams
  • Documenting data model changes as BRIO analysis proceeds; assisting with developing new model for Library 
Service Design, Training & Management OAS Service Design, Training & Communication, Project and Program Management
  • OAS Service Design work will start in the next program sprint begining September 21
  • Training, Training Personas & Communication Strategies drafted and are being internally vetted
  • Worked with senior leadership to review and refine Program Executive Committee membership and the Program Governance Structure
Content Delivery Finance Community Engagement, Research Administration & Compliance Engagement, FAS Adoption, Harvard Library Adoption; OAS Enhancements
  • Finance: Initial recommendations from from Financials workstream presented to Financial Administration Leadership Group.  Establishing Governance Strategy: the team is currently in the process of identifying and confirming membership for the Financials Working Group.
  • Research Administration & Compliance: Gathering BRIO queries and starting analysis to understand what data elements are most commonly used, expecting to kick-off engagement committees in the September/October timeframe.
  • FAS Adoption: Refined work into 4 primary tracks as follows: 1. College DW, 2. IVY FAS Finance, 3. IVY Faculty Affairs, 4. IVY FAS HR & completed documenting the Business Engagement Strategey for the 1st 3 tracks.
  • Harvard Library Adoption: Developing use cases with input from the user community & identified database structure issue; resolved with Library Technology Services Database Business Analyst
