As we have written to you in past publications and other communications, the HUIT Oracle Financials team has been working on the Oracle Financial Platform Improvement (OFPI) project.  This phased project is helping us prepare and execute HUIT and the University to meet the goals of moving towards virtual servers on cloud based technologies for our Oracle Financial software. HUBS News

The HUBS Team has been working closely with the Office of Financial Strategy & Planning to develop an on-line workbook for multi-year plans.  The design, development and testing phases for this initiative took place during the spring and summer months, resulting in a new workbook that was delivered to users this month.  The new workbook is a Smart View Planning workbook and it provides users with the option of uploading their data directly into the multi-year database in HUBS.  For more details about the multi-year effort please see the release notes at: ...

Two-step verification will soon be required for HarvardKey

Two-step verification will become required for everyone using HarvardKey this fall. Harvard accounts are actively stolen for fraud and intelligence gathering daily. Two-step verification uses a pre-registered device in your possession, such as your smartphone, to confirm your identity when you log in with HarvardKey. That way, even if your password is stolen, cybercriminals can't get into your account without having that device as well. ROPPA Training Prerequisite

What is it?

  • On September 1, 2016, the University will implement a training prerequisite for certain new system roles
  • Training is required for users who are new to their jobs and getting system access for the first time, and for existing system users who take on a new system role (e.g., an HCOM shopper who becomes an Approver)
  • These users will be required to take the 20-minute online Responsibilities of Purchasers, Preparers and Approvers (ROPPA) course and to get 70% or better on the course assessment before being granted systems access...
