Currently, if a partially matching ID is found in the ID system when a new hire is transmitted from ASPIRE to PeopleSoft, the transmit will fail and the user will need to manually create a quick hire form to complete the hire. This process results in duplicate data entry of the new hires’ personal and job information on both the new hire form in ASPIRE and the Quick Hire form in PeopleSoft.
Beginning with Release 49, when the transmit fails, a Quick Hire – Other form will be automatically created on the user’s behalf. All data from the new hire form in ASPIRE will be automatically fed over to the Quick Hire – Other form in PeopleSoft. This action removes the manual step of duplicate data entry in two systems when a partially matching ID is found in the ID system.
