Electronic Submission Tracking and Reporting (ESTR)* - Recording Ancillary Review

April 14, 2016

Any department or individual providing an ancillary review to the IRB is now encouraged to use ESTR to record these decisions. There are many types of Ancillary reviews (such as faculty sponsor, department reviewer, IT Security, financial conflict of interest disclosure, etc) and some are required by Harvard policy. Using ESTR to record ancillary review also allows reviewers to provide feedback, approval, and/or attach documentation on a submission in parallel with the IRB review.

Reference materials for ancillary reviewers, including an entire Ancillary Reviewer Guide, with pertinent sections such as how to complete ancillary review, provide feedback, and submit your ancillary review

For more information about Ancillary review;  you can search for information on the support site or view topic-based content within your web browser at: http://estrsupport.fss.harvard.edu/ancillary-reviewer-guide.
