January 21, 2016
Capital plan submissions will be due using CPATH by end of day on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. FCI submissions should be emailed to Garry Cuneo (garry_cuneo@harvard.edu) or Missy Reed (missy_reed@harvard.edu ). Guidelines for this year’s capital plan narratives will be sent separately to each School/Unit directly; narratives will be due after submission of the capital plans.
New enhancements and reports in CPATH, some of which will help in preparing the upcoming Plan, include the following:
- Reduction in required fields for Years 2 – 5 projects and for Aspirational projects
- Ability to edit projects at the plan level in a spreadsheet view will be available in February
- CPATH is now updated with the status of CAPS projects at 12:20PM every afternoon, in addition to 4:00AM every morning; this will allow for projects initiated in CPATH (i.e. PP Initiate) in the morning to be available in CAPS the same day in the afternoon
- Ability to switch projects directly from the Project Information tab
- Plan to Actual Spending Report – available for FY12 through FY15 and can be found on the Reports menu
- Open Projects Report - a Project Manager column has been added
- The ability to create Monthly Executive Reports in CPATH is now available; MERs are due to HPPM monthly for all projects of $5M or more, but can be used internally by Schools/Units to prepare a one page summary of one or more projects
Please contact the IT Help Desk (617-495-7777 or ithelp@harvard.edu) for CPATH technical matters or CAPS/HPPM with business issues/questions. User feedback on the CPATH and CAPS applications is always appreciated.
