GL-PCR Tool is Coming Soon!

June 10, 2021

What is the GL-PCR Tool? Found in Oracle General Ledger, it is a menu option under the Journals category for salary adjustments. This will substitute the standard manual or ADI journal uploads for all FY22 salary transactions. This tool was developed to support the Position Tracking and Reporting project.

Goal: Enable users to track adjustments made for salary expenses at an employee position level, including employee name, HUID, position #, payroll paid date, pay period end date, and period of work performed, in order to allow for comprehensive reporting.

How to Use: In the tool, users can search the transactions with the same criteria used in the Transaction Listing, select the appropriate transactions for adjustment, make the coding change, add a journal description, and then submit.

Timing: The GL-PCR Tool will become available during mid-July around the same time the FY22 payrolls will be posted. Training will be available starting in early July. Any questions can be directed to Tim McKiel, Senior Product Manager, Financial Systems at timothy_mckiel@harvard.edu.
