GMAS 2.0 Project Update

October 15, 2015

The GMAS 2.0 Project Team is preparing for the next release on December 14, 2015 delivering a redesigned Segment home and more converted screens. The GMAS 2.0 project has two focus areas – converting existing screens and building upon business priorities identified from user engagement interviews and focus groups. Changes to the system are delivered incrementally throughout the life of the project providing gradual benefits to users and allowing for incorporation of user feedback. Users will continue to navigate between old and new screen designs through the end of the project as we re-design and convert the remainder of the system.

We would like to thank everyone that participated in the GMAS 2.0 Survey providing feedback on the July release. Many themes presented themselves in the data and the project team has identified focus areas and highlighted changes that will be implemented as early as the December release. For example, with the December release, the white space on converted screens will be reduced and the GMAS system will accommodate narrower browser widths making the screen layout more fluid.

Segment home is one of the most frequently visited GMAS screens that users leverage to access projects so we decided to focus on a redesign of this screen for the December release. The new Segment home will showcase key information about the segment based on approval questions and segment flags, provide financial information (dates and dollars) and highlight upcoming and outstanding activities. Users will have the ability to view the changes during department/ tub information sessions and office hours prior to the release – look for more information to come.

Project information, user resources and frequently asked questions can be access on the GMAS website.  We also have a new GMAS Blog, where you’ll find the latest and greatest news about the GMAS system including system updates, project updates and helpful tips and tricks. The blog should be your first source for news about the GMAS systems, so don’t forget to bookmark this page, and subscribe to alerts. We’d love to hear your feedback on recent post and about any topics you’d like to see in the future – submit your ides to the GMAS team
