Reminder: Use Two Apply Buttons on FIN-Core Dashboards

A reminder that users will need to use two Apply buttons on dashboards found in the FIN-Core folder.  The dashboards found there are as follows: The Transaction Listing (all versions), Budget and Actuals Comparison (both versions), the GL Account Monitoring Dashboard and the Fund Management Dashboard.

The two Apply buttons are needed to confirm the role you are using within HART to run the dashboards.  Some users have more than one role in the system due to funds, activities or roots that may be shared across departments and/or schools.

The process:

  1. As soon as you open one of the dashboards mentioned above, check your role in the User Role Choice field to make sure it is correct, and hit the Apply button next to the field.  Note that you must press this Apply button even if you only have one role in HART.
  2. Enter in the rest of the prompts you wish to use in your search.  All required prompts are noted with an asterisk (*).
  3. After entering in your prompts, click the second Apply button found beneath the prompts to run the dashboard.

Tip: If you create a customization, you can avoid having to press the two Apply buttons.  Simply apply your customization and the system will process the dashboard with the role that you originally used when creating the customization.
