Overnight Processes for this Friday, November 17, Rescheduled

Due to a release for Harvard’s Data Warehouse (HDW) this weekend, the overnight processes in HUBS have been rescheduled from Friday night, November 17, to Sunday night, November 19. The overnight processes in HUBS include tasks to add new chart of account values, new employees, and more. HUBS Outage Saturday, December 9

Quarterly maintenance patching will occur on Saturday morning, December 9. HUBS will be unavailable during the patching activities but it is expected to be available by noon on 12/9.

Your Browser Zoom Feature Must be set to 100% and other FAQs, Known Issues

As budgeting activities begin to ramp up, users may want to note our most asked question so far: I cannot open a folder in the HUBS Workspace/Explore tab, why? And the answer is: Your browser Zoom feature is probably not set to 100%. It must be 100% to click on/open the folders. Other FAQs and Known Issues can be found on these pages:

HUBS Basic Planner Class

There is one instructor-led, HUBS Basic Planner class left before the winter break. If you are new to HUBS you may want to consider this December 5th class. The class includes exercises to learn how to navigate in HUBS, how to enter personnel and non-personnel data in HUBS forms, how to run business rules, how to run reports in HUBS, and more. After the winter break there are three classes left for the current budget cycle: January 9, January 18, and February 1.

Users can register for any of these classes in the Harvard Training Portal (HTP) at the following URL: https://trainingportal.harvard.edu. Please note that these HUBS Basic Planner classes are centrally provided. New users may also want to check with their finance office for trainings that may be offered locally within their school/unit.

FINDINI 4.0.12 Impact to HUBS

Please note the following impacts to HUBS on the weekend of December 15th due to Oracle FINDINI 4.0.12.  HUBS will be available during the Oracle release but:

  • The overnight processes scheduled to run on Friday night, December 15, have been rescheduled to Sunday night, December 17. As mentioned earlier, the processes included in the overnight processes can be found on this page in the HUBS wiki: https://wiki.harvard.edu/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=65044757
  • The CCID Validation Utility in HUBS will be limited or unavailable during the FINDINI release.
