HUBS Release 3.0 This Weekend

March 13, 2014

The current HUBS budget applications are being migrated to new servers that are optimized for Hyperion Planning and Essbase (the software that runs HUBS). The benefits of this effort are to improve overall system performance and reliability, provide room for expansion in the HUBS environment, while at the same time consolidating existing servers. The migration to the new servers will begin at 5pm on Friday, March 14th with HUBS becoming unavailable at this time. HUBS is estimated to be available for use by the start of business on Monday, March 17th with Monday being reserved as a buffer in case any issues arise over the weekend and more time is required by the technical team.

FSS has experienced positive results over the course of testing the new servers and we are excited to deploy them into our environment so as to improve your HUBS experience. Performance improvements should be noticeable in all areas including reports, business rules, and opening data forms. The difference will be most impactful for budget applications with large amounts of data though the impact is expected to be noticeable by all HUBS planners.

Please send any questions to hubs@harvard.edu.
Thank you,
-The HUBS Team-
