Modernization of Financial Reporting (MFR) Project Update

Fall Pilot for Financials Dashboards 

All hands are on deck as the MFR Project Team and local Engagement Councils prepare for the kick-off of the Financials Dashboard Pilot in November.  Over the next 6-8 months we will gradually be building our pilot audience.  The current timeline is as follows:

  • November 2016 – Pilot with select tub financial officers
  • February 2017 – Pilot with select departmental administrators
  • May 2017 – Pilot with additional departmental administrators
  • July 2017 – Full-scale roll-out
  • November 2017 – Decommission of CREW Financial Reports

The Local Implementation Managers at each school have been asked to identify at least one pilot user per dashboard.  Pilot users will be oriented to the financials dashboards before reviewing the dashboards to ensure that they meet the needs of the user community and function as required.  The on-going pilot will expand in coordination with further refinement and development of dashboard security.  As security is defined at more detailed levels, additional users will be added to the pilot.  Ultimately, pilot feedback will be incorporated into finalizing dashboards, establishing a community of financials dashboards users and improving the training program.

We’re in the home stretch!!  There are almost twenty remaining training sessions scheduled over the next two months. Don’t wait until Halloween to attend one of them.
