Modernization of Financial Reporting Project Announces the Go-Live of Procure to Pay Content and New Home Page

April 16, 2015

The Modernization of Financial Reporting Project recently deployed Procure-to-Pay (Accounts Payable) dashboards to Production.  Included in the release were the Committed Funds and the Vendor Invoice Detail dashboards.  Both of these dashboards include enhancements to the data and user experience.

Dashboard

New Features

Committed Funds

  • Suppresses ALL open commitments = 0.00 (CREW left some on due to rounding)
  • Ability to filter for open commitments > an amount specified by user
  • Ability to filter by purchase type (payment request, web reimbursement etc.) and purchase type now included in the results
  • Ability to filter by preparer name and preparer is included in the results
  • Vast performance improvement (results returned in seconds)
  • Enhanced training documentation on how to run a dashboard, interpret the data in it and understand system challenges

Vendor Invoice Detail

  • Ability to select multiple vendors (CREW only allowed one or all)
  • Displays the GL Period Name which the Invoice was accounted in
  • Displays vendor ID in results
  • Enhanced training documentation on how to run a dashboard, interpret the data in it and understand system challenges

The timing of the procure-to-pay roll-out to users will be determined by each school-based engagement council.  Your local implementation manager can provide information on when you can expect content to be made available to your school.

To receive access to the OBI content, users must successfully complete a 45-minute tools training course.  We are pleased to announce that an online OBI Tools Training option is now available to the user community.  Users who prefer an instructor-led training session can register in PeopleSoft for course FSS170.

Next week, the project team will be launching a new landing page for users.  When users log into OBI, they will see the new landing page which includes key information related to the application (outages, release notes, training, FAQs etc.).  If you had set your homepage to a specific dashboard, please see our FAQ page for instructions on how to change it to the new home page.
