PeopleSoft Reminders & HR Enhancements

Annual Reminders

PeopleSoft Open Enrollment will be taking place from October 26th through November 4th.

During this period, it is very import to minimize any data entry that could affect an eligible employee’s job data. Keep these dates in mind when processing job data changes during open enrollment:

  • Job data changes effective before 1/1/22 should be entered by 10/22/21 to allow employees to see their correct eligibility and rates when accessing their benefits information via PeopleSoft.
  • Job data changes effective dated 1/1/22 or after should be entered after 11/5/21 to maximize access and accuracy for employees using ESS.
  • Job data changes entered between 10/26/21 and 11/4/21 should be kept to a minimum to maximize access and accuracy for employees using ESS.  Please do not do mass job data changes during this period.
  • Appointment End Dates of 10/27/21-11/4/21 should be reviewed prior to 10/26/21, as any autoterms will have eligibility and enrollment issues.

PeopleSoft HR Enhancements

The following changes will go into effect in PeopleSoft beginning Friday, October 29:

Adding two new Position Action Reasons:

  • Title Change (Reason Code TTL): Allows changes to Business Title and Position Title only.  The toggle ‘Keep Incumbents In Sync with Position’ will be available for this action reason, so that you can update the title on a position without impacting the existing incumbent.
  • Reports To Change (Reason Code RTC): Allows changes to Reports To and Dot-Line only.

Changing General Update Position Action Reason:

  • General Update (Reason Code UPD) will no longer require approval.
  • Since selecting approvers will be optional, the fields that can be changed using this action reason will now be limited.

Career History Summary Change:

  • The Career History Summary page is moving from the HR Administration tile to the Harvard Processes tile. The page is also still accessible via the Personnel File Workcenter for those with access.
