PeopleSoft Release 42 Follow-Up: Aspire Changes to Rehire/Ad’l Job Processing

October 15, 2015

This follow-up article is due to reports of duplicate job rows being created for rehires/ad’l jobs. As reported in the previous month’s eNews, Aspire will now  accommodate rehires and additional jobs to PeopleSoft if there is an exact match based on SSN, DOB, and Last Name.

When an Aspire user clicks “Send to PeopleSoft,” and the transmit is successful, a message will display with the emplid (HUID), empl rcd #, and Action (New Hire, Rehire, or Hire Adl).

If a Quick Hire form is also processed, a duplicate job is created. In order to prevent this from occurring, please make sure those who process Aspire requisitions coordinate with those who process PeopleSoft transactions.  As with all new hires transmitted from Aspire, the paygroup will be set to HR% (which is non-paid). A Job Data Change Form is required to flip the paygroup to paid and update any other fields not passed to PeopleSoft from Aspire.
