ROPPA Policy Effective 3/1/2016; Online Training Now Available

February 25, 2016

The Responsibilities of Purchasers, Preparers and Approvers (ROPPA) policy is effective 3/1/2016 (extended from 1/1/2016).

Online ROPPA training is now available at: http://eureka.harvard.edu//Eureka/aicc_directLaunch.cfm?course_ID=1486

The training link is posted on the Financial Policy website (http://policies.fad.harvard.edu/home); you can also find it on Eureka under “University Policy” with the online course name “Introduction to ROPPA.” A few tips on navigating the course:

  • Buttons to allow users to go back and review both the Sciences and Humanities examples, as well as all 3 roles (Purchaser, Preparer and Approver).
  • Users can retake the quiz immediately if they do not get a passing score of 80%, or close out the course and re-open to start over from the beginning
  • Once users finish the course and pass the quiz, they can go back and review content using the Table of Contents (TOC) on the left hand side, or print out all the slides by pressing the “View the Transcript” button

There will be Q&A Sessions at the following dates and locations:

  • Tuesday, March 1 from 9:30-10:30am in Room M-11 at 1033 Mass Ave
  • Tuesday, March 15 from 9:30-10:30am in Room M-11 at 1033 Mass Ave

We will add more Q&A dates if there is enough interest. To register, attendees can send an email to financialpolicy@harvard.edu indicating which session they want to attend by 2/26. Attendees can also send specific questions they would like addressed in advance.

Please forward this announcement to those in your units who might be interested.
