June 14, 2018

The HUIT PM Community of Practice presents the following session:

Session Title: What Do Project Managers Need to Know about Cybersecurity - A guide to healthy digital paranoia for IT project managers
Date: June 14, 2018
Time: 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Location: Thompson Room, Barker Center
Presented by: Ben Gaucherin, HUIT Director of Information Security and Instructor for DCE's Cybersecurity Certificate courses

Session Description: Things can be a little scary out there on the inter-webs. And, as IT project managers, we all want to help build great technology solutions that are not going to be the digital equivalent to Swiss cheese - No one wants to be on the front-page of the Crimson because their system suffered a major security incident.

This presentation will provide you with:

  • Some fundamentals of cybersecurity
  • Highlights of key activities in IT projects to ensure both technology solutions and humans are safe
  • A smattering of news stories and real-life examples from the world of Harvard

We invite you to connect with your inner-hacker, grab your tinfoil hats, and join us for an exciting discussion about cybersecurity for project managers.

Please forward this invitation to colleagues who may be interested.
