HCOM Training Transitioning to a Blended Online Model

The Center for Workplace Development, in partnership with system managers and business owners, is launching an initiative to improve access to application training. After hearing feedback from users and business owners, HCOM training will transition to a new, blended model beginning in November. This new model will focus on delivery of foundational system knowledge via online training and delivery of advanced or specialized topics via drop-in labs staffed by subject matter experts.

Temporary Social Security Numbers

  • In order to work in the U.S. or to take advantage of tax treaties, individuals must have a social security number (SSN).
  • While individuals may start work without an SSN, they must apply for one shortly afterwards.
  • Between the time individual requests a SSN and a SSN is issued, Harvard may issue a temporary social security number for Harvard students (and some faculty) for internal use only.

HUBS Outage for Release 3.12 in November

October 9, 2018

HUBS will be unavailable starting at 5pm on Friday Nov 16, all day Saturday Nov 17 and Sunday Nov 18, for the installation of Release 3.12. HUBS will become available again at the start of business day on Monday, Nov 19.

Please note that HUBS includes Smart View, MYFP, Interim Reporting and TEFA, and these applications will be unavailable during the release installation as well.
