Announcing New QlikView Workforce Applications!
Demographics and Mobility & Terminations
The Demographics application displays a variety of employee and job information metrics which can be used to measure and track employees and their characteristics such as race and ethnicity, gender, age and years of service. Using Demographics data, we can:
- Analyze workforce patterns
- Study and understand trends over time (employee population rates, FTE% change, generational cohorts)
The Mobility & Terminations application presents data on the person, the job, the type of staffing or mobility action as well as attrition or termination actions. Managing employee turnover and termination rates can further inform the University’s strategic workforce planning efforts.
Did You Know?
The definitions for all Action Reason Codes can be found in the Harvard Training Portal. Consistent use of these codes improves the decision-making process and allows University leaders to better understand workforce trends and explain fiscal changes.
The Affirmative Action (AA) Progress application (formerly the Diversity application) has been updated

- Definitions for Promotions, Hires and Terminations have been added to the Definitions application.
Enhancements to Workforce Analytics applications
- Enhancements were made to the LHT & Temp Monitoring application to support the LHT & Temp policy changes.
- Enhancements to support the TAP Eligibility business process were made to the Compliance application.
- Help Text Functionality has been added to some of the HR QlikView applications. Hover or click on the ? in the Application Toolbar for more information about the application.

The Harvard Training Portal offers online Excel courses through Lynda.com, while the Center for Workplace Development offers in-person Excel courses from introductory to advanced levels.
We want to help you use the Workforce applications to their fullest! We recommend the Introduction to QlikView using HR Data class. Select SHOW INTEREST.
