How to Address Your Questions about the Harvard Construction Inclusion Plan (HCIP)

July 13, 2023

The Office for Economic Inclusion & Diversity (OEID) is excited to provide several opportunities to help address your questions about the Harvard Construction Inclusion Plan!

What is the HCIP?

The HCIP establishes minimum standards for the inclusion of underrepresented business enterprises (UBEs)—including minority-owned business enterprises (MBEs) and women-owned business enterprises (WBEs)—and for the employment of women and people of color in construction projects with total project costs of $5 million and over.

The HCIP applies to projects in planning for which an RFP has not been issued as of June 30, 2023, and for all new Project Proposals (PP) approved as of July 1, 2023.

To learn more, review the full Harvard Construction Inclusion Plan (PDF). This document is available on the CAPS Wiki site and on the OEID website.
