ESTR-IRB, Agreements-DUA, Data Safety, and OAIR

ESTR-IRB, Agreements-DUA, Data Safety, and OAIR were updated successfully in December. Please visit the Research Administration and Compliance Systems News page for additional information and detailed release notes.

Some highlights:

  • ESTR-IRB, Agreements-DUA, and Data Safety: Improvements have been made to enhance workspace warnings and alerts and provide more context on related projects.
  • Data Safety: Additional tracking measures were implemented to support ancillary reviews and ensure PI attestation for using regulated data.
  • OAIR: Updates to workspace warnings and alerts.

FY24 Q2 Quarterly Project Certifications will be due on Thursday, March 7, 2024.

  • Review Period: January 16, 2024-February 5, 2024
  • Certification Period: February 6, 2024-March 7, 2024

GMAS

GMAS will be unavailable starting at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 8 for a release. The system will be available again at the start of business on Monday, March 11. Screens related to request signatures as well as to some of the requests categorized as "Changes to existing segment" are being updated to the new GMAS interface.

Benefits of the release include:

  • Screens related to locking and routing signatures will be merged and converted to the new GMAS interface.
  • The ability to set different central signatures across different request types on the same project will be included.
  • The ability to notify required signatories that their signature is still missing will be added to request signatures.
  •  Several “changes to existing segment” requests will be converted to the new GMAS interface:
    • Pre-award expenditures
    • Carryforward
    • No-cost extension
    • Interfaculty involvement at no additional cost
    • Early termination
