Data Management Services (DMS) is pleased to announce that the next Harvard Data Warehouse (HDW) release will occur in December 2018. The Release begins on Friday, December 7th at 8pm and will complete on Sunday, December 9th at 9am. This release supports the PeopleSoft HR Winter Release and the application of security patches to HDW databases. During this outage, new and enhanced features and functionality will be released to the Human Resources DW database, dmsdwhrprod. Please see the December Release Notes on the HDW wiki for details.
How this Release Impacts You
Impacted Populations and Processes:
- Export and Direct Database access to the Human Resources Data Warehouse database, dmsdwhrprod, will not be available during the release.
- Human Resources Data Warehouse nightly loads will occur on Saturday, 12/8 to apply the changes implemented on Friday. Loads will resume the night of Sunday, December 9th.
- The non-student OBI environment (Harvard Analytics and Reporting Tool) and all OBI dashboards within the Accounts Receivables, CAPS, Cash Management, Chart of Accounts, CSMA, Financials, Grants Management, Procure to Pay, Travel & Expense, and User Security folders will be unavailable during the release.
This Outage and Release Have No Impacts to These Populations and Processes:
- Financial Data Warehouse loads will not be impacted.
- The Student Information Data Warehouse loads and corresponding my.harvard OBI dashboards will be available and will not be impacted.
