PeopleSoft HR Fall Release: Enhancements, Outage Information, & Open Enrollment Dates

PeopleSoft and all external system transmissions to PeopleSoft will be unavailable starting on Friday, September 20th at 5:00 p.m. until Monday, September 23rd at 8:00 a.m. (at the latest) due to the 2019 fall release.

Users will see changes in the following areas on Monday, September 23rd:

Usability Enhancements

Search functionality

HR Administrators can search by First Name or Preferred First Name on the Additional Names page

Record Your Name

PeopleSoft Name Audio Recording Tool

  • Employees will have the ability to create, listen to, and delete a recording. Employees' name recordings are expected to become available in Harvard's Internal Directory (connections.harvard.edu) at some point this fall/early winter.
  • This functionality will enable employees to provide the correct pronunciations of their names.
  • Optional self-service name recording functionality will be on the Names Page of the My Personal Details tile for non-Harvard-student employees.
  • The change is being introduced to complement a separate project to make name recording available to students (including student employees) in my.harvard, which will be announced via separate communications.

Open Enrollment 2020

Open Enrollment will be held from October 23rd through November 6.th

 

In order to support the Position Tracking rollout, the following outages will occur:

  • PeopleSoft: PeopleSoft and all external system transmissions to PeopleSoft will be unavailable starting Friday, October 4th @ 5:00pm until Monday October 7th @ 8:00am (at the latest).
  • Harvard Careers: Friday, October 4th @ 8:00am – Monday October 7th @ 8:00am – users will not be able to create a new requisition, edit an existing requisition or process a hire. Candidates may still apply for openings and recruiters may review resumes during this window
