Data Safety

Starting May 15th 2020, the University will be implementing a partial rollout of the updated Research Data Security Policy Guidance!

For more information on the new requirements, see the Pilot of Updated Research Data Security Policy Guidance. The entirety of the updated HRDSP will go live July 15, 2020.

The Data Safety support team announces its spring release for May 29th. This release incorporates significant suite-wide updates and enhancements.

Data Safety will be unavailable from Friday, May 29, at 2:00 pm until Monday, June 1, at 8:00 am to allow for system updates.

The ESTR support team announces its spring release for May 29th. This release incorporates significant suite-wide updates and enhancements.

  • Integration with Office365 for easier viewing and editing of submission-related documents in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Modernized SmartForm design with updated navigation and reviewer options; and
  • Updates to support new Data Safety requirements related to IRB submissions.

Agreements-DUA

GMAS

A new cost sharing module was released and made available on April 27th. Information about the cost sharing enhancements can be found on the GMAS website. If you missed any of the cost sharing roadshows, you can view a recorded version of the roadshow.

The next release, 1_53.2, is scheduled to take place next week. The exact date is still being determined. This is a minor release which will include the ability for central users to label segments and requests as having COVID-19 related activity. This release will also include the following:

  • A bug fix for selecting the submitters name in the submission details in requests
  • A lock to the cost sharing form so that it can only be edited by one person at a time
  • Removal of matching funds from the approval attributes panel for non-converted requests
  • Fix column alignment issues on the new cost sharing form
  • Fix to the display of the awarded cost sharing amount entered in a segment revision

The GMAS team is also working on the next major release, 1_54, which will focus on the tracking of international collaboration. This work is being directed by the International Collaborations Committee. More information about the content of this release will be communicated in upcoming eNews issues.

PI Dashboard

  • Team completed several database and application server software upgrades.
  • Team will begin preparing for the annual fiscal year and balance forward rollover process in the next few weeks.
